Nidhi Vows to Complete Rajarshi Janak University Infrastructure Despite Political Hurdles

Nepali Congress (NC) leader and former Deputy Prime Minister Bimalendra Nidhi has criticized the politicization of development and construction activities, calling it a major obstacle to progress.

Speaking at a press conference held in Janakpurdham on Saturday, Nidhi emphasized that development should not be derailed by political interests, and also urged the media to focus on factual and balanced reporting.

He revealed that Rs 80 million had been allocated for the construction of a new building for Rajarshi Janak University, but claimed that the project had stalled due to political ill intent.

“The delay in the university’s infrastructure development is unfortunate. I was directly involved in the struggle to establish this institution, and I remain committed to completing the construction at any cost,” Nidhi stated.

Nidhi also underscored the importance of the university for the Madhes region and reiterated his long-standing support for its growth and infrastructure expansion.

The event was also addressed by NC Dhanusha district president Yogendra Panjiyar, Province Assembly member Ram Saroj Yadav, and other party leaders and cadres, who echoed Nidhi’s concerns and reaffirmed their commitment to the university’s development.
