Palpa, Nov 8: The Palpa district saw the start of the Heritage Cycle Ride today, an event organized to promote local tourism and encourage a healthy lifestyle.

The Palpa Cycling Association launched the ride early this morning, attracting participants from multiple districts, including Rupandehi, Nawalparasi, Chitwan, Kathmandu, Siraha, and Banke.

Starting at 6:00 am from Bhairabsthan, cyclists will pedal through picturesque sites such as Lisnubhir, Argali, Ridi, and Ranimahal, with the event culminating in Tansen.

According to Association Chairman Rupesh Maharjan, the event has brought together a diverse group of riders aged 14 to 65, including two individuals with physical disabilities, a female cyclist, and a foreign participant.

Maharjan expressed optimism that the Heritage Cycle Ride will not only promote the district’s tourist attractions but also position Palpa as a hub for adventure sports. By highlighting local heritage sites through this ride, organizers hope to draw more visitors to the area, supporting both tourism and local businesses.
