Home Minister Lekhak Commits to Technological Advancements in APF


In a move to enhance national security, Home Minister Ramesh Lekhak announced that integrating modern technology into the Armed Police Force (APF) is a top priority for the government. 

Speaking at the APF Training Academy in Matatirtha during a graduation ceremony for newly trained inspectors, Minister Lekhak emphasized the importance of technology to address evolving security threats effectively.

The Home Ministry, according to Lekhak, is focused on expanding the APF's capacity through increased personnel, enhanced infrastructure, and better logistical support. He assured that the Ministry would take all necessary steps to facilitate policy development and its execution, strengthening the APF’s operational readiness.

Minister Lekhak also highlighted the APF's commitment to democratic principles, rule of law, and human rights. He urged all members of security agencies to fulfill their roles in line with the Constitution and laws, underscoring their responsibility to uphold these values.

In addition, the Minister commended the APF for producing a capable workforce and announced that a bill to formalize the APF’s role as a specialized service would soon be introduced in parliament. He also acknowledged the APF's contributions to sports, both nationally and internationally, promising ongoing support for its initiatives.
