14 Kilometers of Rahughat-Tatopani Road Blacktopped Under Kaligandaki Corridor Project

Myagdi – Under the Beni-Jomsom-Korala road project, a total of 14 kilometers of the Rahughat-Tatopani section has been blacktopped, marking significant progress in the Kaligandaki Corridor infrastructure development.
The contract to blacktop the 19-kilometer stretch from Rahughat in Raghuganga Rural Municipality-3 to Nagdhunga in Bhurung Tatopani, Annapurna Rural Municipality-2, was signed with the contractor company in 2074 BS. According to the contractor, 14 kilometers of the Rahupare–Bhurung Tatopani segment have been completed so far.
The road, widened to 11 meters, was blacktopped following the construction of essential structures such as drainage systems and retaining walls to prevent erosion and manage water flow.
The Beni-Jomsom-Korala road is part of the 202-kilometer route stretching from Maldhunga in Parbat to Korala in Mustang via Myagdi, under the broader 435-kilometer Kaligandaki Corridor. The project, initiated in the fiscal year 2073/74 BS, has now reached approximately 85 percent physical progress.
