Six-Lane Chisapani-Gaddachauki Road Construction to Begin Soon: Minister Arzu Rana Deuba
Minister for Foreign Affairs, Arzu Rana Deuba, announced that construction of the six-lane Chisapani-Gaddachauki section of the East-West Mahendra Highway will commence soon.
Speaking at the inauguration of Lamkichuha Municipality's newly constructed administrative building in Kailali today, Minister Deuba shared that a survey is underway to expand the highway from Chisapani in Kailali to Gaddachauki in Kanchanpur to accommodate the growing vehicle pressure.
"The Chief Minister of Sudur Pashchim Province, Kamal Bahadur Shah, is actively leading the initiative for the highway expansion. The survey is ongoing, and construction will begin soon," Minister Deuba stated.
She expressed optimism that the new administrative building would provide residents with streamlined and integrated services, enhancing municipal efficiency.
Minister Deuba highlighted the government's commitment to agricultural development in the region, emphasizing its role in fostering economic growth. "It is encouraging to witness development efforts at the local level," she said.
During her stay in far-western Kailali, Minister Deuba also inaugurated the newly constructed office of Nepali Congress Kailali Region No. 2 and the Lamkichuha Municipal Committee.
