In a recent address in Bhaktapur, CPN (UML) Senior Vice-Chairman Ishwar Pokharel emphasized the longstanding collaboration between his party and the Nepali Congress (NC), particularly during times of national crisis. He described the current alliance between the two parties as a continuation of this historic partnership.

Pokharel noted that the NC and UML have experienced both cooperation and competition throughout Nepal's history. He recalled their joint efforts against the Rana regime and the monarchy, as well as their collaboration in promulgating the constitution in 2015. Looking ahead, Pokharel stated that both parties are preparing to compete in the upcoming elections.
